Charles Durant

Mr. Durant is an accomplished senior executive with contributions to organizations ranging from green-field startups to complex multinational organizations such as General Electric and Honeywell. He brings to the table strong operational management skills combined with both financial and legal acumen.

Over the past eight years, Mr. Durant made investments and managerial contributions to various early-stage technology companies and assisted several Private Equity firms in connection with sourcing acquisitions and due diligence.

From 1995 to 2005, Mr. Durant held executive level positions with GE Security, Inc., wholly-owned subsidiary of General Electric.

Mr. Durant most recently served as President of Residential Solutions for GE Security, with responsibility for the global residential security market and development of intrusion control and wireless technology in support of GE Security’s entire customer base. He began his career with GE Security in 1995 as Vice President and General Counsel of ITI Technologies (NASDAQ: ITII, predecessor of GE Security).

During his 10-year tenure at GE Security, Mr. Durant achieved prominence in the security industry, speaking at numerous industry events and serving on the board of directors of the Security Industry Association (SIA).

Prior to joining GE Security, Mr. Durant was an attorney with the law firm of Winthrop & Weinstine, P.A. for seven years, where his practice included mergers and acquisitions, securities, intellectual property and general corporate matters. Prior to attending law school, he was employed as an accountant for nine years with Honeywell.

Mr. Durant serves on the boards of directors and advisory boards for a number of private companies and has served on board of directors for several non-profit organizations.

Durant holds an Accounting Degree and a Law Degree from the University of Minnesota, as well as an MBA from Minnesota State University.
